Halalmegle is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no profiles and no tracking or advertising cookies.
Your video, voice and messages

Your camera image is filtered on your own device. Only the filtered picture, showing your eyes, ever leaves it. Video, voice and text chat go directly between you and the person you're talking to. Our server never receives them and nothing is recorded.
Some networks block direct connections. In that case your call passes through an encrypted relay run by Cloudflare. The relay passes the encrypted call along and doesn't store it.
What our server handles

- Your IP address, to connect you, limit abuse and enforce blocks. We only store it as a scrambled code (a salted hash), never as the address itself.
- Matching messages your browser needs to set up a call. These are passed to the other person and not kept.
- Error reports from your browser when something breaks, like "connection failed". These don't include your video or messages.
When you report someone
A report records the reason you picked, the time, scrambled codes for both people's IP addresses, and the last text messages the reported person sent you (up to 20). We keep reports for 90 days so we can block people who break the rules and review serious cases, then delete them.
Other services the site uses
- jsDelivr and Google serve the face-tracking software and model your browser downloads. Google Fonts serves the typeface.
- Google and Cloudflare help your device find a route to the other person.
- Cloudflare may relay your encrypted call, as described above.
These services see your IP address when your browser contacts them, under their own privacy policies.
On your device
Your filter settings are saved in your browser so they're there next time. You can clear them by clearing this site's data.
Children

Halalmegle is only for people 18 and older. If you believe someone under 18 is using it, report them in the app or contact us.
